It’s tough to beat watching a fireworks show from an aircraft in flight – seriously, try it sometime – but if you aren’t going to be on a plane at dusk this Independence Day, here are some other places around Pittsburgh you can catch some dazzling pyrotechnic displays. After all, Western Pennsylvania is the home of Zambelli Fireworks, one of the largest fireworks companies in the world.

July 3

Carnegie Independence Day Celebration: Carnegie Park, fireworks at dusk

Hampton Township Independence Day Community Celebration: Hampton Community Park, fireworks at approximately 9 p.m.

July 4

EQT Flashes of Freedom (Pittsburgh): Point State Park, fireworks begin at 9:35 p.m.

Moon Township Fourth of July Celebration: Moon Park, events begin at 4 p.m., fireworks at dusk

Mt. Lebanon Independence Day Community Celebration: Mt. Lebanon Main Park, fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Shaler Township Community Day and Fourth of July Celebration: Kiwanis Park, fireworks at dusk

Monroeville Independence Day: Monroeville Mall Annex, fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Scott Township 4th of July: Scott Park, fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Findlay Township Independence Day Fireworks Celebration: Recreation and Sports Complex at Leopold Lake, fireworks at approximately 9:45 p.m.

West Mifflin Kennywood Celebrate America Fireworks: June 29-July 4 nightly, Kennywood Park, fireworks at 9:45 p.m.
