If you’re the kind of person who likes to have fun but can lose track of time while you do, Pittsburgh International Airport has a pair of new stores that can help out.
The Airside Terminal welcomed Timeless Travel, which carries a wide range of timepieces, bags and accessories; and Perfectly Plane Fun, full of toys and games, in February.
Timeless Travel is in the Center Core, and Perfectly Plane Fun is behind the escalators between Concourses C and D.
Filled with pristine display cases of watches, belts, pens and purses, Timeless Travel can help out travelers who may have forgotten a watch in Phoenix or want to pick up an exquisite gift for a loved one.
Expensive, as well. Those with a taste for finer things can find a Montblanc Nicolas Riussec Chronograph for just a hair below $9,000 there. And you can pair it with a $1,000 Montblanc Meisterstuck Diamond pen with platinum inlays.
Of course, if you just need a watch without the frills, Timeless Travel also carries Swatch and other brands that fit into a wider range of income brackets.
On the other hand, Perfectly Plane Fun is a riotous mix of colors and textures, a place for the young – and the young at heart – to find diversions for long plane rides or layovers.
From coloring books to stuffed animals to Rubik’s Cubes, a variety of amusements are available there. Even something called Galactic Ooze. (We were scared to ask about that).
The new stores were the first of a half-dozen new retail spaces that will all debut in Airside by the end of March. They include the duty-free Galleria, the boutique Candy Shoppe, sock store Sole Mates and bag and accessories shop Baggallini.
