For travelers flocking back to the skies for the summer travel season, if you haven’t traveled in a while, there will be some changes.

“The Future of Travel is Here and It’s Focused on You” is the tagline but what does that mean for passengers?

“It means that we took a hard look at the passenger experience and we made changes along the way that will improve public health and safety as we emerge from the pandemic,” said Travis McNichols, Vice President of Public Safety at PIT. “We’re using technology and innovation to improve public health, and we’ve also made basic changes like adjusting crowded seating areas.”

And of course, enhanced cleaning and disinfecting are here to stay. From checking in for your flight to buying food—all on your phone—reduced touchpoints are a preferred option for many.
