Winter is about to give way to spring. And we are longing for blue skies.

Sure enough, the airline industry is bustling with activity in the busy spring break travel period. Airports and planes are filled with excited vacationers, each rewarding themselves with tickets to paradise for surviving another winter.

To cheer on those travelers getting ready to head off to warmer climes, we’re sharing these picturesque views provided by our readers.

Dominic Meckling sent us this image of a Delta Air Lines Boeing 757-200 parked at the gate at PIT prior to its flight down to Atlanta. Taken in June 2022, we absolutely love this view from the gate—a blue sky mixed with some clouds and contrails from airliners passing overhead.

Eric Phillis shared this photo snapped through the window from an American Airlines flight passing over Cape Coral, Fla., soaring above puffy clouds while giving us an endless look out into the wild blue yonder.
