The new childcare center at Pittsburgh International Airport is already getting national attention, and it hasn’t even opened its doors yet.

La Petite Academy at PIT is making headlines for the change it is inspiring in the aviation industry. This past weekend, NBC News featured a story on the front page of its website highlighting the new facility.

Other airports have already reached out to PIT and plan to develop childcare centers of their own to retain employees and recruit working parents.

Airport employees are now eligible to enroll their children in the new center. La Petite Academy at PIT will officially start classes in a few weeks; a ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the center’s ceremonial grand opening this morning.
