The Pittsburgh Pirates haven’t won the World Series in nearly a half-century. They haven’t won a division title since 1992. They haven’t qualified for the playoffs in nearly a decade.

But they do have a great place to play: PNC Park, recently named the country’s best baseball stadium by USA Today.

It’s the perfect place to grab a beer and a Primanti Bros. sandwich while you check out the city’s sweeping skyline.

PNC’s honor follows on the heels of the Heinz History Center being named the best museum in the U.S. by the same national publication.

What’s next? Perhaps being named the nation’s best city for anthropomorphics — people dressed as human-like animal characters, commonly known as Furries. If you feel like wearing fox-like attire on Independence Day, the largest annual gathering for anthropomorphics in the U.S., Anthrocon, returns to Pittsburgh in July.

“We’re thrilled to see a number of Pittsburgh businesses, attractions and events recognized by USA Today over the past few weeks, with hopefully more to come as additional 10Best Readers’ Choice lists are revealed,” VisitPITTSBURGH President & Chief Executive Officer Jerad Bachar said.

“These recognitions highlight our city as a premier travel destination and demonstrate that what we have to offer stands out among the ranks of other popular destinations across the country. Keep voting, and if you haven’t experienced them yet, we hope to welcome you to our city soon.”
