Leave it to aviation to provide the most breathtaking views.

Bailey Noel captured this unforgettable photo of a Southwest Boeing 737 eclipsing the moon late in the evening. As the moon shines, there’s no hiding Southwest’s vibrant blues, silvers, reds and yellows.

Each day, aviation creates memorable experiences.

Our second breathtaking photo this week was taken by Brian Hoebel on his nonstop flight from Pittsburgh to Atlanta on Southwest Boeing 737 MAX 8.

PIT offers a variety of nonstop flights on Southwest Airlines to Chicago, Tampa, Jacksonville and other cities.

Starting June 8, the airline will take passengers nonstop to San Diego. The carrier is offering Saturday-only service, so PIT travelers can expect to see more sunsets like these in the future, this time over the California coast.

Seeing the clouds move as the wind blows, the sun sets, and the wing of Southwest’s aircraft shines, is a beautiful way to spend your nonstop flight.

Thanks for sharing, Bailey and Brian! Whether captured at moonrise, sunset or any other time of day, we hope that all your airplane images are equally as great as the ones you shared with us.

Our readers continue to pass along shots of unique aircraft, international airports, historical events, gorgeous views and even family vacation photos for this feature. We love them! Keep them coming — you can click here for submission guidelines.
