Pittsburgh International Airport and mutual aid partners conducted a comprehensive, FAA-mandated emergency preparedness drill Wednesday evening. These drills help ensure that airport employees and partner agencies are fully prepared in the event of an actual emergency. Preparations for the drill were a year in the making and involved more than 100 first responders. The drill began at 5 p.m. with a simulated emergency situation involving an aircraft incident at the gate.
