To make sure Day One of the new Pittsburgh International Airport is as seamless as possible, public trials are held to test the systems a traveler would experience.
More than 300 people acted as passengers in an integrated public trial on Sept. 20 and their feedback will shape and define the new terminal going forward.
“I always say there’s no such thing as a bad trial because when we identify issues, that’s a win because we have identified it in a controlled environment where we can learn, refine and pivot when needed,” said Daniel Bryan, a world-renowned expert who joined PIT’s Operational Readiness and Transition (ORAT) team.
PIT is holding a second public trial soon and while there’s still some work to do, participants overwhelmingly were impressed with the new front door to the region.
