The transformed Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) provides an intuitive and efficient experience for passengers, making air travel simple and stress-free.

For departing travelers, the journey begins on the top floor of the new terminal.

The departures level features a spacious, open area with clear sightlines to the kiosks and ticket counters for each airline, ensuring that passengers can easily locate where to check in and drop off their baggage.

Then, it’s just a short walk through the same level of the terminal to the new TSA security checkpoint.

The checkpoint features 12 TSA lanes equipped with upgraded scanning technology, all in one location. It includes queuing lanes for TSA Precheck members, CLEAR+ members, employees, flight staff, assisted and military, priority passengers and standard security.

Once travelers pass through security, there is a dedicated recompose area where all travelers can gather their belongings before proceeding down the Skybridge, which connects to the modernized airside terminal and gate areas.

The Skybridge reflects Pittsburgh’s own entryway, the Fort Pitt Bridge and Tunnel, guiding passengers through their airport journey.

The airside terminal has been modernized to feature new concessions that offer local flavors as well as national favorites. Additionally, there are upgraded restrooms and gate areas.

Passengers arriving at PIT will enter the renovated airside space before continuing to the arrivals level of the new terminal.

The arrivals level features Welcome Point, a central, open location that welcomes passengers to Pittsburgh.

The Welcome Point includes concessions, seating and access to outdoor terraces for passengers, as well as friends, colleagues and family who are there to meet and greet them.

Arriving passengers continue through the Welcome Point to reach the new baggage claim carousels.

The eight new carousels are designed to quickly deliver checked items, allowing passengers to continue on their journey.

Throughout the terminal, elevators and escalators provide convenient access between floors, including the ground level, where rideshare services, taxis and buses are available.

The transformed Pittsburgh International Airport is designed to provide an improved air travel experience.

It is a reflection of Pittsburgh and provides a universally accessible and welcoming experience to all.
