There’s plenty of excitement around Pittsburgh International Airport’s new modern terminal. But the revitalized experience will begin the moment passengers arrive at the airport campus.

That’s where seven new bridges and 27 new lane miles of roadway come in, all of which are now paved and drivable.

The new roadways complement the new terminal and its 4,300-space parking structure as part of an updated PIT campus.

The changes are more than a facelift.

The new builds include a 1,300-foot double-decker front bridge that separates traffic among three levels to ensure all passengers—departing, arriving or those seeking rideshares, taxis or buses—can efficiently get where they need to go.

The roadways will open for the public alongside the new PIT in 2025.
