Skies above Colorado can provide spectacular views

John Denver once sang about climbing cathedral mountains with the silver clouds below. He saw everything as far as you can see.
And if you’re aboard a Delta flight above the mountains, you can see even farther from above. The Rocky Mountains provide quite spectacular scenes—especially from airplanes.
Michael McCormick, of Washington, Pa., snapped this shot flying to PIT from San Diego with a stopover in Minneapolis on March 7. He happened to look down in Colorado at just the right time as his plane flew over the Rockies.
According to McCormick, the thin black line in the lower center of the photo is Telluride Regional Airport, with Telluride Ski Resort just above.
It’s quite a photo of the snow-covered mountains and the peaks and valleys that are part of the landscape.
