When it comes to looking up, we’re seasoned professionals. Our entire industry revolves around what happens over our heads, so it takes a lot to really get our attention.
Consider our attention gotten.
Like much of the United States, we were awed on Monday by the unique celestial spectacle of a total solar eclipse of the sun. Pittsburgh was just south of the path of totality — lots of our friends went up to Erie or over to Ohio for the best views — and we got a pretty good look at the rare event.
Words can’t do it justice, so we’ll let the photos speak for themselves in this very special edition of Photos of the Week.
Our readers continue to pass along shots of unique aircraft, international airports, historical events, gorgeous views and even family vacation photos for this feature. We love them! Keep them coming — you can click here for submission guidelines.
