Frontier Airlines serves 85 domestic destinations and 16 international destinations in nine countries.
Next year, you could fly to all of them for a single flat payment.
That’s the promise of the airline’s GoWild! All-You-Can-Fly Pass, which was announced Wednesday to customers on its mailing list as a new product that will debut in spring 2023.
The biggest question—how much is it?—remains unanswered. But Frontier did release a few details:
- An unlimited number of flights
- Access to all destinations
- Flights available 300-plus days a year
- Complete flexibility
- Bookings confirmed ahead of travel
- 12 months of travel
The calendar limits likely indicate that the pass will not be valid during peak travel periods, such as holidays. The airlines also did not indicate how many total passes it would issue, although it noted a “limited number” will be offered at a discounted rate.
Given Frontier’s somewhat combative competition with JetBlue this year over the acquisition of Spirit Airlines, and Frontier’s aggressive response to the new commercial landscape after JetBlue won out, it’s fair to see the new program as a one-up on that carrier’s “All You Can Jet” pass, which debuted in 2009.
Frontier also seems to be positioning GoWild! as a creative way to fill empty seats on its aircraft, of which there were 5 million last year alone, they say.
In addition to price, other questions come to mind: How far ahead can or do you need to book a seat? What are the cancellation or change policies? When are the blackout periods? How many passes will be issued?
Frontier is currently encouraging customers interested in learning more and even buying the pass to sign up online.
