The second Public Trial of the transformed Pittsburgh International Airport on Saturday, Oct. 25, brought together members from the Allegheny County Airport Authority (ACAA), airlines, TSA and other partners, along with almost 1,800 community volunteers to test the passenger experience.

Volunteers arrived on the new roadway system to park in the state-of-the-art parking garage to begin their journey.

That included checking baggage for flights and passing through the improved TSA security checkpoints. From there, they were the first community members to cross the new Skybridge and tunnel into the core.

After the first part of their journey, volunteers switched roles to follow their assigned arriving-passenger script to exit the airside terminal to move through the Welcome Point and retrieve baggage at the new baggage claim area.
