Going On Holiday Without Ever Leaving the Airport
PIT’s sixth annual Holiday Open House welcomes more than 1,300 guests

We welcomed more than 1,000 of our friends to hang out with us on Saturday, and we think it’s safe to say everyone had a blast.
From carolers in attire strolling through the concourses to a long line to meet a jolly Santa, hundreds of families enjoyed all the trappings of the airport’s sixth annual Holiday Open House in the Airside Terminal. And as far as we can tell, it’s the only kind of airport holiday shopping/entertainment day in the country open to non-ticketed folks.
Our concessions partner Fraport USA worked with dozens of our shops and restaurants to arrange for special, one-day-only discounts and sales, making the airport an ideal shopping destination for everyone still looking for that perfect gift.
But if retail wasn’t your thing, we had balloon animals, face-painting, visits from Iceburgh and the Pirates Pierogies, therapy dogs, jugglers and the popular band Lovebettie in the house, too.
