New world-class amenity for travelers coming to PIT this week

Something big (and quiet) is coming to Pittsburgh International Airport next week.
After months of preparation and construction, as well as input from community members, the airport will unveil a world-class sensory-friendly space for travelers with autism and other neurodevelopmental challenges.
The roughly 1,500-square-foot room features private and soundproof spaces with adjustable lighting, various calming activities and comfortable seating, a sensory-friendly restroom and a realistic airplane cabin experience area.
