There’s no disguising our excitement for the return of London service

It’s been nearly two years since we’ve seen one of these beauties on our airfield.
We were so delighted in April 2019 to welcome British Airways back to Pittsburgh after a 20-year hiatus. The direct service to Heathrow was a milestone for this airport and our region, underscoring our rebound in the post-US Airways era.
Unfortunately, we spent less than a year with those flights. The COVID-19 pandemic shut down international travel, and the last time we saw our friends from BA was on March 15, 2020.
But as medicine and safety measures have improved, and travel demand has returned to near pre-pandemic levels, the time is right to start hopping across the pond again.
Thanks to Ryan McManus for this gorgeous shot of a BA Boeing 787 Dreamliner on our ramp. We can’t wait to see this again in June.
Thanks, Ryan!
