On Friday, Jan. 31, Pittsburgh International Airport hosted a “New Year, New Airport” influencer tour of the new terminal, which is 80 percent complete and on track for a 2025 opening.
This special event welcomed 10 local influencers, including notable personalities such as photographer Dave DiCello and the teams behind Discover the Burgh, YaJagoff and Made in PGH.
The tour highlighted some of the terminal’s most stunning features, starting with the breathtaking constellation wood-like ceiling. Influencers had the chance to capture the design’s beauty and share with their followers how modern aesthetics meet functionality. Another highlight was the quick and convenient walk over the bridge connecting the new terminal to the current one.
In addition to the architectural and design elements, the tour also focused on operational improvements, including the upgraded baggage system. This faster, more efficient system promises to streamline the travel process for passengers, reducing wait times and enhancing overall convenience.
With a combined following of over 800,000, the influencers are showcasing the PIT transformation across a range of social media channels.
