Pittsburgh International Airport is at the forefront of a growing trend in airport design that incorporates publicly accessible outdoor spaces as a key element of the travel experience, providing travelers, visitors, and staff with access to fresh air, natural light and views of airport operations throughout their journey.
The UPMC Terrace, made possible in part by the Richard King Mellon Foundation, opens Wednesday, July 29. This landside terrace is located on the arrivals level near baggage claims 5-8 and will be open to the public.
