The natural landscape that surrounds Pittsburgh, the latest in technology to streamline travel and the innovative mindset of the community will be on full display in Pittsburgh International Airport’s new three-level terminal by its 2025 opening.
If you’re dropping off a loved one at the departures curb, the first thing you’ll notice, in addition to new elevated approach roadways that stretch longer than the Fort Pitt Bridge into the city, is the rolling terminal roof, natural wood ceiling and multi-level glass windows specifically incorporated into the design to allow for ample natural light.
An expansive curb leads to the new Ticketing Hall, where travelers will find sleek new airline ticket counters with the latest in technology upgrades to make checking in for a flight even faster with less contact. Additional concessions, art and other features are planned.
